A numbered iteration of an estimate for the same property. When pricing or scope changes, a new version is created rather than overwriting the original, preserving the history.
Version control on estimates allows contractors to track how pricing has evolved, reference original quotes in disputes, and send updated proposals without losing the audit trail. Each version has its own status — draft, sent, approved.
"The contractor originally quoted $45/mow. After the customer requested bi-weekly service, they created a Version 2 at $62/bi-weekly visit."
